OpenClaw Academy

The newsletter that makes engineers genuinely dangerous with agentic AI.

What this is

OpenClaw Academy is a weekly newsletter for software engineers who want to understand and build production agentic AI systems — not learn one more tool. Every post goes deeper than the tutorial layer: the architecture behind the feature, the tradeoff behind the config, the failure mode behind the pattern.

Two posts per week:

  • Tuesday — concept post (free, always). One idea, fully explained.

  • Thursday — deep dive (free preview, paid full). Full implementation + vault asset.

The curriculum

Five parts covering everything from “what is an agent” to autonomous systems running in production.

Part 1 — Foundations: Architecture, context engineering, skill design, security, evaluation. By the end: a working, secured, evaluated agent you built yourself.

Part 2 — Core Patterns: MCP, memory, RAG, TaskFlow, multi-agent, design patterns.

Part 3 — Interfaces and Applications: Channels, voice, the morning briefing agent, inbox triage, complete personal operations agent.

Part 4 — Production: VPS deployment, observability, cost engineering, incident response, the Agent Reliability Engineer role.

Part 5 — Frontier: Autonomous systems, honest production readiness assessment, the transferable mental model.

Technical standards

Every technical claim is attributed. Every config is tested on the stated OpenClaw version before publishing. The version number appears at the top of every implementation section. When OpenClaw releases a breaking change, the next issue says so.
